Overview

Scanance offers a stock screening platform with both free and premium tiers. This refund policy applies to paid Premium subscriptions only. We are committed to being transparent about how refunds work so you can subscribe with confidence.

Our approach is simple: we give you a generous free trial to evaluate the service before any charges apply. If the service does not meet your needs, you can cancel during the trial at no cost.

Free trial period

All Premium subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. During the trial period, you have full access to all Premium features at no cost. You can cancel at any time during the trial and you will not be charged.

The free trial is designed to give you enough time to evaluate whether Scanance Premium meets your needs before any payment is processed. We recommend exploring all features during this period, including fresh daily screening results and email notifications.

You will receive a reminder email before your trial ends so you have time to decide whether to continue.

What happens after the trial

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged $7.99/month. Because you had a full 7-day free trial to evaluate the service, refunds are generally not provided for charges after the trial period.

Your subscription will renew automatically each month on the same date. You can view your billing date and manage your subscription at any time through the payment provider's customer portal.

Refund eligibility

We understand that issues can happen. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Billing after cancellation — You were charged after cancelling your subscription before the billing date.
  • Extended service outage — You experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the service for a significant portion of the billing period, and we were unable to resolve it in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Billing error — You were charged an incorrect amount or were double-charged due to a system error.
  • Duplicate subscription — You accidentally created two active subscriptions for the same account.

Refunds are not provided for situations such as forgetting to cancel before the trial ends, deciding you no longer need the service mid-billing period, or dissatisfaction with screening results (which are based on publicly available market data and standard technical indicators).

How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. There are no cancellation fees and the process takes just a few clicks:

  1. Open the subscription management link from your confirmation email or account page.
  2. Click "Cancel subscription" in the payment provider's customer portal.
  3. Confirm the cancellation. You will receive a confirmation email.

After cancellation, your Premium access remains active until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made. You can resubscribe at any time if you change your mind.

How to request a refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the eligibility criteria above, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge in question
  • A brief description of the issue
  • Any relevant screenshots or transaction IDs

You can reach us through our contact page. We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are issued through our payment processor. The refund will be returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Partial refunds may be issued in cases where the service was unavailable for a portion of the billing period. The refund amount will be calculated proportionally based on the number of days affected.

Free tier

The free tier of Scanance provides access to historical screening results (5+ days old), individual stock pages with analysis, the Learn Hub, and all 10 supported markets. The free tier does not involve any payment, so no refund policy applies to it.

If you are unsure whether Premium is right for you, we recommend using the free tier first to familiarize yourself with the platform before starting a free trial.

Changes to this policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Premium service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
